Richard S. Schlicher
Advisory Principal to Chartworth

Rich has been involved in the financial services industry for over thirty five years. He has wide-ranging experience in middle market investment banking, distressed debt and commercial lending. Through these varied activities he has developed extensive relationships both within the corporate community and with senior lenders, subordinated lenders and equity investors. His investment banking experience includes mergers and acquisitions and private placements. He has his Series 7, 27 and 63 licenses from FINRA.

Prior to joining Chartworth, Rich was a Senior Vice President at Gill & Roeser, a New York City based investment banking firm focused on the insurance industry. Before that he was a Managing Director with Spring Street Capital and engaged in the due diligence, acquisition and resolution of distressed assets. His previous experience was in investment banking where he was a Managing Director at Ironwood Capital and Principal at Fieldstone Private Capital. Rich began his career in commercial banking with the Bankers Trust Company and worked for BT in New York City and Dallas, Texas. Following Bankers Trust, Rich was the Division Head of the Southwest Region for First National Bank of Chicago. His last position within commercial banking was as Executive Vice President of Connecticut Bank and Trust in Hartford, Connecticut.

Over the past decade, Rich has been bitten by the art bug and his work has been accepted in juried shows. He received the top award for oil painting in his last show.

Rich holds an MBA from Indiana University and graduated cum laude in economics from DePauw University. He and his wife reside in Simsbury, Connecticut.
